Homemade Nutrition Bars

Nutrition bars are the perfect snack when on-the-go. There are so many choices and varieties to choose from, too. But the counter is the price. Not only are these bars expensive, they also carry unnecessary and unhealthy ingredients. So instead of spending money on just one $3 bar, learn to make your own! In this article, you will find some recipes for quick, simple, and healthy nutrition bars.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Bars

  1. Line any size baking dish with parchment paper
  2. Add the peanuts, two pinches of salt, chocolate chips, a dash of milk and vanilla extract to a bowl and beat until the mixture starts to clump together
  3. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish
  4. Drizzle with melted chocolate
  5. Chill for 45 minutes to 1 hour
  6. Remove the bars from the baking dish and cut into the desired number of pieces
  7. Enjoy!

You can make bars with any ingredients you want. Follow the same steps of the recipe above but add in the ingredients you prefer. Here are some ingredients that work well together: cashews, dates, coconut, salt, coconut milk, vanilla, almonds, dates, pretzels, salt, and milk.

Fruit and nut bars are great, but bars can include many other ingredients as well. Next, we have some tasty, no-bake, cereal bars.

S’mores Bars

  1. Melt half a bag of marshmallows and less than half a stick of butter in a bowl, while occasionally stirring
  2. Add desired cereal and graham crackers into the melted mixture and stir till room temperature
  3. Add chocolate chips or a chopped chocolate bar into the mixture
  4. Use any sized baking dish with parchment paper for the cooled mixture
  5. Press into the bar with chocolate and/or marshmallows
  6. Cool in the refrigerator for at least two hours
  7. Cut and enjoy!

Follow the same steps as the recipe above to make any cereal bars. Here are some ingredients that taste good together.

  1. Melt peanut butter and honey for a liquid mixture and add chocolate chips and Rice Krispie cereal for a solid mixture
